As we roam through life, free and preconditioned at the same time, we experience people, events, nature, matter, energy, and phenomena - some not even detected. These experiences and perceptions create ideas and visions that live with us and make us what we are. Some ideas quietly wither away. Some gently reside in our minds. Some change us forever. And some turn into restless beasts that charge our mind as raging bulls. These are the ones that we try to tame, to make peace with, because if not, they will drive us beyond the limits of normal.

 

​The ideas and visions that I could not put down to rest made me an artist. An endeavor in understanding and expressing  concepts larger than the self. More powerful, transcending, true.

Most of my art represents ideas refusing to surrender to conceptualization and simplification, as well to complication. They excite me, supersede me, and deserve a life of their own. To comprehend such ideas and visions I transform them into forms and images and let them be. This is an arduous and fascinating process that resembles an effort to capture and freeze the feeling of nirvana so that one can return to it, when needed. In my case it is the strive to find the perfect form, line, or image representing a concept, and to materialize it in order to return to it for inspiration and contemplation. 

 

Visual art is my way of expressing and sharing emotions, concepts and experiences through substantive media. It can be abstract or specific, private or public, uplifting or humbling. In it, like in any art, we look for what inspires us, what moves us and what makes us feel connected to the world.
